'I was the black sheep at Spurs' | Christian Eriksen gets a fresh start at Inter Milan

Christian Eriksen says he was «the black sheep» at Tottenham for being «very honest» over running his contract down at the club.

The Danish midfielder joined Inter Milan for £16.9m last month, after six and a half years with Spurs, but the 27-year-old’s admission he wanted to leave in the aftermath of the Champions League final defeat by Liverpool led some fans to turn on him.

  1. Christian was a decent player for most of his time here, last couple of years has got harder I the premier league and teams have become better and stronger. Christian hasn't performed for nearly 2 years now, I'm mean he has been none existence in games , he would start and without fail would come off after 70mins. It always seemed we were a player down with him playing, offered anything to the game. No challenges, no link up play, no assist and no goals , not even a proper corne.
I hope he has it easier in Italy for it is a worse league and much slower with less quality. He should really shine there.

  2. I have to agree with him. This transfer debacle is all down to Daniel Levy's greed backfiring. Remember, Spurs were offered 100 million for Eriksen last summer, but Levy thought he could squeeze that to 200 million and the deal naturally fell through. Since then, Eriksen has been the scapegoat.
